Everyone thinks advertisement is bad. That it brainwashes you and fills your mind with a bunch of lies. Which is so not true. The majority of ads are almost 100% percent true or else their products wouldn't sell. Its what Charles A. O’Niell calls “The language of advertising” which uses a bunch of strategies like words, images, and sounds to create this piece of art. If this didn't work while else would they spend 150 billion + every year if it didn't work?

  1. I also agree that advertisement is used in so many ways and so often because people absorb it quick, and yes, it works!

  3. Yes. Advertising works to accomplish the goal it is designed to accomplish. It seems like advertisers have it down to a science, specific, certain, predictable, statistical. What Barbara said about it working because it is easy to absorb seems to be just how it works. Obviously effective. It makes me wonder if it could be used for some way that is not designed with the pure goal of profit in mind...
